KB is a nursing scientist and heads the Nursing Research Unit at the ISE. Core objectives of the Unit are to generate evidence for the im- provement of nursing care, to promote implementation of evidence- based nursing practice and to advance the roles and societal impact of the nursing profession. KB leads publicly funded research projects with a volume of 1.5 Mio Euro.
